“Coach Carroll lived a very good life” – Lakernik

American figure skating coach Frank Carroll lived a very dignified life, International Skating Union (ISU) honorary vice-president Alexander Lakernik told .

Earlier, the press service of the American Figure Skating Association announced that Carroll died at the age of 86.

— He is a very respected and famous trainer, who trained many champions, lived a long life and worked almost until the end. I knew him, but not closely. He lived a very dignified life,” Lakernik told .

Carroll has worked over the years with Olympic and world champion Evan Lysacek, two-time world champion and Games silver medalist Linda Fratiani, five-time world champion and two-time Olympic medalist Michelle Kwan, and others Olympic medalists Mirai Nagasu, Denis Dix, Gracie Gold and Timothy Gable.

The specialist was inducted into the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2007.
