Olympic figure skating champion Alina Zagitova said what she plans to do in the future, noting that she doesn’t see herself as a coach yet.
On Monday, Zagitova attended the synchronized swimming competitions at the Friendship Games in Kazan.
– Have you thought about the future, will it be related to coaching, to the public or in general to politics?
– I thought about this question, but so far I have so many changes in my life that I don’t know what to expect next. I thought about a coaching career. I like working with children, but for now I don’t want to be a coach, maybe later. For now, I want to relate my life to television, something like that.
I am a fan of Ak Bars, as my father and I are associated with this club. I’m watching, I’m sick, I only wish you good luck and lots of goals scored. You never know what will happen next, but I think they will do everything to win,” Zagitova told reporters.
Zagitova is 20 years old, she is the first Russian figure skater to win the title of champion in all important tournaments: at the Olympics, at the World Championships, at the European Championships and at the Grand Prix series final.
