Titmus, a two-time Olympic champion, set a world record in the 200m freestyle

Double Olympic champion swimmer Eriann Titmus Set a world record in the 200m freestyle at the Brisbane Olympic Trials.

Titmus covered the distance in 1 minute 52.23 seconds. The 23-year-old surpassed compatriot Molly O’Callaghan’s feat of 1:52.85, set in July last year.

Second place in swimming was won by O’Callaghan, who achieved the second fastest time in history – 1:52.48.

Titmus won gold at the Tokyo Olympics in the 200m and 400m freestyle and won four world championships.
