“The verification process of Russians is carried out by a special commission created by the IOC Executive Committee. Imagine the amount of work required for a complete and thorough inspection against the criteria set by the IOC. These criteria include the analysis of athletes’ contracts, social networks and other aspects that international federations have paid attention to, but have not always taken into account. We also take into account the availability of nominal and non-nominal quotas earned by NOCs. We try to work quickly but carefully to ensure that all competition deadlines are met. We cannot yet say when the work will be completed,” McConnell said at an IOC news conference.
Earlier, the IOC indicated that the contracts for the organization of the 2030 and 2034 Winter Olympics were almost signed.
