Russian athlete Natalia Spiridonova won the high jump event at the Malaysian Open, the press service of the All-Russian Athletics Federation (ARAF) reports.
Spiridonova won gold with a score of 1.87 meters. The Russian participated in the tournament in a uniform adorned with national symbols.
In 2023, it was announced that the ARAF’s membership in world athletics had been reinstated after seven years, but the Russians’ suspension from international competitions was extended due to the situation in Ukraine.
