First CS major in the US in 7 years
Tournament operator BLAST announced the major By CS2 in 2025. The tournament will take place June 9-22 at Austin, Texas, at the Moody Center.
24 teams will take part in the tournament. The prize fund for BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 is $1 million.
This will be the first CS major in the US in 7 years. In 2018, the elite tournament was hosted by Atlanta and Boston.
The previous CS2 major took place in March 2024 in Copenhagen. The winner of PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 was the Ukrainian esports organization Natus Vincere.
The next CS2 major will be hosted by Shanghai. The tournament in China will take place from November 30 to December 15.
