Swimmer Misharina about winning the Chechen Championship: “I was more worried in the relay than in the 5 km”

Ksenia Misharina said that during her performance in the relay race at the Russian Open Water Swimming Championship, she was more worried than during the 5 km personal distance.

Misharina won the 5km distance on Friday; the day before, she became a relay silver medalist as part of the Moscow team. The Russian Championship takes place in Rostov-on-Don.

“For me, the water was average; in some places in the rowing canal the water was warm, in others it was cold. The temperature difference was felt.

– Do you feel tired?

“Right now, I’m probably going through some sort of healing. » I didn’t eat much all day, and then I was on the road, so it was hard. And that’s okay, I really liked it.

— How did the relay race go?

– I am satisfied. We got the prizes, it’s cool. I was more worried than at “A” level; I haven’t swum in open water for a year, here you have to jump from the first step, there was even more responsibility. This is a normal result, we have to continue working, there are no more options,” Misharina told .
