Russian athlete Emilia Tangara became the winner of the BRICS Games in the 400m hurdles.
In the final, she achieved a result of 55.66 seconds. Silver and bronze medals went to Belarusian athletes – Ekaterina Belanovich (56.42) and Alexandra Khilmanovich (56.50).
The men’s 400m hurdles was won by Russian Fedor Ivanov (49.35). He is ahead of his compatriot Vladimir Lysenko (50.27) and Bienvenu Wendla Sawadogo (50.83) from Burkina Faso.
Valery Pronkin won gold in the hammer throw; on his best attempt, he threw the projectile 78.13 meters. The second was Belarusian Alexander Shimanovich (77.34), the third was Russian Andrei Romanov (74.51).
The BRICS Games will take place in Kazan from June 12 to 23.
