Members of the Russian team won five gold medals in badminton competitions at the BRICS Games in Kazan on Sunday.
Gleb Stepakov and Alina Davletova won gold in mixed doubles. They beat Vyacheslav Dobychkin and Maria Golubeva with a score of 2-0 (21:13, 21:18).
In another final, Evgenia Kosetskaya and Maria Golubeva played for singles gold. Kosetskaya won – 2-1 (15:21, 21:8, 21:13).
In pairs, Davletova and Kosetskaya defeated Daria Kharlampovich and Galina Lisochkina – 2-1 (21:8, 10:21, 21:5).
Sergey Serant turned out to be stronger than Artur Pechenkin in singles. The match ended with a score of 2-0 (21:14, 21:13).
Pechenkin and Stepakov defeated Pavel Monich and Serant in doubles – 2-0 (21:15, 21:7).
The BRICS Games in the capital of Tatarstan will end on June 23.
