A Venezuelan diver spoke about his desire to stay in Russia

BRICS Games silver medalist, Venezuelan Jesus Gonzalez, said he would like to stay in Russia after studying at Kazan University.

Gonzalez won silver on the 3-meter springboard on Sunday. Russian Nikita Schleicher won gold.

— Excellent impressions, because I don’t have much experience in international competitions. This medal is also very important for Venezuela.

— Why did you decide to live here in Kazan?

— The first time I was here in 2021, I only saw the Universiade village and the swimming pool, nothing else. Now I have been living here for five months, studying here. I really enjoy training and studying in Russia. I would like to stay here.

— How do you find Russian girls?

– Oh, I have a Colombian girlfriend, so I can’t say anything. But Russian girls are really beautiful.

— What would you say about the level of organization of these competitions?

— I saw all the objects, it’s impressive.

— Better than in Venezuela?

“Of course,” reports the correspondent, Gonzalez’s words.

The BRICS Games take place in the capital of Tatarstan from June 12 to 23.
