Attack French national team Kylian Mbappe broke his nose in a fight with Austria (1:0) in the first round European Championship 2024. The forward will not require immediate surgery, and will continue to perform in a special mask.
“Kylian Mbappe broke his nose. The forward has already returned to the base camp of the French national team. He will undergo treatment in the coming days, without immediate surgery. The mask will be manufactured in such a way as to allow the striker to resume competition after a period of treatment,” representatives of the French Football Federation said.
Kilian’s recovery period has not been announced. The striker risks missing Le Bleu’s remaining matches in the Euro 2024 group stage.
After the first round, the French lead Quartet D together with the Netherlands team, which won a strong-willed victory (2:1) over Poland. In the second round, the group leaders will play each other on June 21.
