Russian athletes won two gold medals in kayaking and canoeing at the BRICS Games in Kazan.
Maxim Oseledko (200 meters) won the kayak competition, and Ilya Pervukhin (1000 m) proved to be the best in canoeing.
Maxim Spesivtsev (1000m) won silver in the kayak race and the canoeists also finished second Ilya Shtokalov (1000 m) and Sergei Svinarev (200 m). Ekaterina Shlyapnikova (200m) won bronze in canoeing.
The kayak and canoe competitions will last until June 22. The BRICS Games in the capital of Tatarstan will end the next day.
