Fans at the game shouted “Kill the Serb”
Serbian Football Federation appealed to UEFA with a demand to impose punishment on the teams of Croatia and Albania. Otherwise, Serbia threatens to withdraw Euro 2024.
We are talking about the match of the second round of the group stage between Croatia and Albania (2:2). During the meeting, fans of both teams shouted “Kill, kill, kill the Serb,” which did not please the leadership of the Serbian Federation.
“This is a scandal. And we demand sanctions from UEFA. If they don’t exist, we are even ready to withdraw from the Euro. We will demand that UEFA punish the associations of both teams. We will not participate in this, but if UEFA does not punish them, we will think about what we will do,” said the federation’s secretary general Jovan Šurbatović.
Serbia lost to England (0:1) in the first round of Euro 2024. Today there will be two games in Group C: England will meet Denmark and Slovenia will play Serbia.
