Ukraine will play the decisive match with Belgium on June 26
Central defender Ukrainian national team Ilya Zabarny shared his opinion regarding the future match against the team Belgium in the third round of the group stage.
“Belgium are a very good team with quality and dangerous players. We all understand what kind of game awaits us and how difficult it will be. But I think that nothing is impossible. They need glasses, we need glasses. And then we’ll see. I don’t even want to delve into what the situation in the group might be: I have one task and one goal – to beat Belgium. I’m just tuning in for this.
Lukaku? He is very big and has a lot of experience. He knows very well how to cover the ball and stay in that position, creating space for himself. Very dangerous in the penalty area. He has many qualities that he can use and always has chances to score. It will be a good experience for me and I will gladly accept this challenge. I will prepare well for it and do everything in my power. I am confident in myself and know what I am capable of.
Everyone knows that Dokyu is a very fast football player, simply reactive, with excellent starting speed. He is very dangerous around the penalty area. And when such players – agile and technical – enter the penalty area, you may simply not be in time, or make a foul. Reaction time, your position – you need to take into account a lot of nuances.
De Bruyne is an outstanding player. We know what he can do: what passes he makes, how much he runs in a match, how he covers. Of course, a lot can be said about the level of these players. But for me it’s normal. I will go out knowing how we can win. And I am confident in my partners, in myself. I know we can do this,” Zabarny said.
Let us remind you that 21-year-old Zabarny has 38 matches in the Ukrainian national team.
The Ukrainian national team with a goal difference of 2:4 takes last place in Group E, while all four teams have three points after two rounds.
Ukraine will meet with Belgium tomorrow, June 26. The meeting will take place in Stuttgart at the Arena Stuttgart, starting at 19:00 Kyiv time.
The match will be commentated by Roberto Morales and Vadim Skichko. The match will be officiated by a team of referees led by Anthony Taylor.
