Undisputed world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has announced that he will surrender the IBF belt and lose his full status.
The Ukrainian boxer will give his two former rivals, Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois, a chance to play for the title.

“Hi everyone. Anthony and Daniel, listen, I know the IBF belt is important to you. Let’s call this my gift for September 21st. Thank God for everything. Glory to Ukraine,” Usyk said in an Instagram video.
The Ukrainian boxer also wrote on the social network: “The IBF belt is my gift to you on September 21, 2024. The world loves your friend, the absolute world heavyweight champion Alexander Usik.

Let’s recall that Usik’s team asked the International Boxing Federation (IBF) to make an exception for him and allow him to retain his status as absolute champion in a rematch with Tyson Fury. However, the organization insisted that the Ukrainian must fight mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois or vacate the title.
Earlier, Joshua’s promoter called on Usyk to relinquish the IBF title.
