Sokolova won gold in the long jump at the Russian Championships

Elena Sokolova won gold in the long jump at the Russian Championships, which are held in Cheboksary.

The athlete’s result was 6.54 meters. The second was Polina Lukyanenkova (6.50), the third – Ekaterina Levitskaya (6.43).

In the women’s discus throw, Ekaterina Strokova won with a throw of 59.56 meters. Silver went to Violetta Ignatieva (58.26), bronze to Yulia Maltseva (57.01).

The tournament will end on August 5.
