Ludmila Kichenok became the first Ukrainian to win 10 WTA titles V doubles.
The tennis player, together with Jelena Ostapenko from Latvia, won the WTA 500 competition in the UK Eastbourne. For Kichenok this is the fourth title won together with the Latvian. Lyudmila also won four trophies with her sister Nadezhda, and won another one each with Andreia Klepach and Makoto Ninomiya.
It should be noted that the second place in the number of doubles trophies among Ukrainians is occupied by Nadezhda Kichenok, who has won nine titles and also continues to compete. The top five include Natalia Medvedeva (7 titles), Tatyana Perebyinis and Maria Korytseva (6 titles each).
Liudmyla Kichenok and Elena Ostapenko will next play at Wimbledon 2024. The pair received the ninth seeding. In the first round, Kichenok and Ostapenko will play against Daria Saville from Australia and Yuan Yue from China.
