Vyalbe: “Adjustments to the cross-country skiing competition calendar will be made during the official announcement of the Winter Spartakiad”

President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (RFSR) Elena Vyalbe reported that after the official announcement of the Winter Spartakiad, adjustments will be made to the calendar of all-Russian cross-country skiing competitions for the next season.

Earlier, the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Mikhail Degtyarev announced that the Spartakiad of the strongest athletes of Russia and Belarus in winter and summer sports should take place in 2025.

“When the Winter Spartakiad is officially announced, adjustments will be made to the calendar of all-Russian cross-country skiing competitions for the 2024/25 season,” Vyalbe told .

In February 2024, the Winter Spartakiad of the Strongest took place. The competition took place from February 9 to 18 in five regions of Russia: in the Chelyabinsk region (Chelyabinsk, Zlatoust, Magnitogorsk, Kusa, Miass), in the Tyumen region (Tyumen), in the Krasnoyarsk region (Krasnoyarsk ), in the Sverdlovsk region (Nizhny Tagil) and Krasnodar region (Sochi). The Moscow team won first place at the Spartakiad, the St. Petersburg team won the silver medal, and the Moscow region team won the bronze medal. Belarusian athletes could participate in competitions.
