The International Skating Union included the Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva in the ISU doping control pool for the 2024/25 season, the organization’s press service reports.
A total of 27 Russian figure skaters, speed skaters and short track speed skaters were included in the list: besides Valieva, they are Ivan Bukin, Alexander Gallyamov, Anastasia Mishina, Adelia Petrosyan, Evgeny Semenenko, Alexandra Stepanova, Daniil Aldoshkin, Elena. Eranina, Angelina Golikova, Elizaveta Golubeva, Daria Kachanova, Mikhail Kazelin, Ekaterina Kosheleva, Pavel Kulizhnikov, Ruslan Murashov, Viktor Mushtakov, Alexandra Sayutina, Pavel Taran, Ruslan Zakharov, Semyon Elistratov, Valentin Kobyzev, Alena Krylova, Elena Seregina, Pavel Sitnikov, Anna Urazova, Ekaterina Konstantinova.
At the end of January, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) suspended Valieva for four years for violating anti-doping rules. The 18-year-old Russian’s suspension period begins on December 25, 2021, and her results have been canceled since that date.
