Eritrean cyclist wins third stage of Tour de France

Eritrean cyclist Biniam Girmay of the Intermarche-Wanty team won the third stage of the Tour de France.

He covered a distance of 230.8 km in 5 hours 26 minutes and 48 seconds.

The second was the Colombian representative Fernando Gaviria of the Movistar team. The leading trio was completed by Belgian Arnaud De Lieux from the Lotto DSTNY team.

Russian cyclist Alexander Vlassov representing Red Bull‑Bora‑Hansgrohe, posted the 51st result of the stage.

The leader’s yellow jersey was won by Ecuadorian Richard Carapaz, representing the EF Education-EasyPost team, who pushed Slovenian Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) into second place.
