The International Skating Union (ISU) has set quotas for the participation of Russian and Belarusian figure skaters in the junior Grand Prix series for the 2024/25 season, the organization’s press service reports.
Russians and Belarusians will only be able to use quotas if they are admitted by the ISU.
The places were distributed based on the results of the 2024 Junior World Championships. The Russians and Belarusians did not participate in the tournament, so next season they will only have one quota each in men’s and women’s skating, as well as only in ice dancing on two stages (in Turkey and China) out of seven. In pair skating – a quota on three stages (in the Czech Republic, Turkey, Poland) out of four.
Russian and Belarusian figure skaters have been suspended from participating in international tournaments by decision of the ISU Council.
