LeBron James’ Son Signs Guaranteed Rookie Contract With Lakers

Bronny signed a four-year, $7.9 million deal.

19 years old Bronny James signed with Los Angeles Lakers guaranteed entry-level contract. The deal is reportedly for four years and $7.9 million.

Let us recall that at the end of June, the Lakers selected the teenager in the second round of the NBA draft with the 55th pick.

Bronny is the son of an NBA legend and four-time NBA champion. LeBron James, now playing for the Californians. LeBron and Bronny are set to soon become the first father and son in NBA history to play in the league and for the same franchise at the same time.

Bronny spent last season as a member of the University of Southern California team. In 25 NCAA Division I games, James Jr. averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.

The Lakers finished eighth in the Western Conference regular season and advanced to the play-in stage. In the playoffs, the Lakers lost to the Denver Nuggets in five games.

Darvin Ham will be replaced by JJ Redick, who will make his debut as head coach of an NBA franchise this season.
