Ukraine Receives Unbranded 2024 Olympics License in Mountain Bike

For the first time in 12 years, a Ukrainian athlete will be represented at the Games in this sport in the men’s tournament

National Olympic Committee of Ukraine was notified of receipt of additional Olympic license in cyclingwhich was given to Ukraine after the redistribution of unused quotas.

Our country got an unnamed ticket to the Paris Olympics in men’s mountain bike. At the same time, Ukraine had previously won a ticket to the women’s tournament of the same sport according to the world ranking.

Ukraine will be represented in men’s mountain bike at the Olympics for the first time in 12 years, and will also have the largest representation in this sport in eight years. In total, Ukrainian athletes have four licenses for the Paris Games in cycling.

The men’s license in mountain biking is unnamed. The coaching staff will decide who will represent the country at the 2024 Olympics. According to the rating, the strongest mountain biker in Ukraine is Oleksandr Gudyma, bronze medalist of the 2024 European Championship in the U-23 category.

Ukraine has already qualified 135 athletes for the Olympic Games in Paris. The largest number is in athletics (20) and football (18).

The Games will be held from July 26 to August 11, 2024. The competition will feature 329 sets of awards in 32 sports.
