Milan ready to meet Morata’s salary demand

The Spaniard could return to Serie A

Milan continues to work on the transfer of the Atletico Madrid and Spanish national team forward Alvaro Morata.

The Rossoneri management is ready to satisfy Morata’s salary request and pay a release clause of 13 million euros. Now the decision must be made by the player himself.

Morata had previously rejected an offer from Al-Qadisiya, which offered the Spaniard a 2+1 contract with an annual salary of 14 million euros (+3 million bonuses).

Alvaro is currently playing for the Spanish national team, of which he is the captain, at Euro 2024 – four matches (three in the starting lineup), one goal. Luis de la Fuente’s team made it to the quarterfinals, where they will face the hosts of the championship – the German national team – today.

Morata, 31, played 48 matches for Diego Simeone’s side last season, scoring 21 goals and making five assists. The Colchoneros finished fourth in the league, behind Real, Barcelona and Girona.

Milan finished second in Serie A. The team’s new coach was former Shakhtar coach Paulo Fonseca.
