Eritrean cyclist Biniam Girmay of the Intermarche-Wanty team won the eighth stage of the Tour de France.
Girmay covered a distance of 183.4 km in 4 hours 4 minutes and 50 seconds. Belgian Jasper Philipsen of the Alpecin-Deceuninck team finished second, another Belgian, Arnaud de Lieux of the Lotto-Dstny team, showed the third result.
Russian Alexander Vlasov of Bora-Hansgrohe achieved the 24th result.
Girmay had already won the third stage of the Tour de France.
In the general classification, the leader is Slovenian Tadej Pogacar, double winner of the Tour de France, Vlasov occupies 10th place with a delay of 4 minutes 36 seconds.
The ninth stage will take place on Sunday.
