French cyclist Anthony Turgis, representing the TotalEnergies team, won the ninth stage of the Tour de France cycling race.
He covered a distance of 199 km in 4 hours 19 minutes and 43 seconds. Englishman Tom Pidcock of the Ineos Grenadiers team finished second and Canadian Derek Gee of the Premier Tech team finished third.
Russian Alexander Vlasov of Bora-Hansgrohe achieved the 25th result.
In the general classification, the leadership is retained by the Slovenian Tadej Pogacar, double winner of the Tour de France, Vlasov moving from 10th to 11th place (the gap is 4 minutes and 36 seconds).
The tenth stage, which will be 187.3 km long, will take place on Tuesday, July 9.
