Elina faced the tournament’s fourth seed Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan. The two-set match lasted just over an hour.
The Ukrainian got a break from the start, but quickly lost it, and then lost another of her serves. In the second set, Svitolina gave up two of her games, and lost the match.
Elina defeated Magda Linett, Jule Niemeyer, Ons Jabeur and Xin Yu Wang during the tournament. Svitolina was the last of the eight Ukrainian tennis players in the singles at Wimbledon 2024.
