Katarina lost to American Chirico in two sets
Ukrainian tennis player Katarina Zavatskaya ended her performance at the tournament WTA 125 in Swedish Bastade.
The Ukrainian was unable to cope with American Louise Chirico from the third hundred of the world rankings in the quarterfinal match. The match lasted one hour and 15 minutes.
Zavatskaya managed to convert the first break of the match, but then lost her serve three times in a row – and eventually gave up the set 2:6. In the second game, history repeated itself. Katarina managed to win back a match point at 1:5, but in the next game she laid down her arms.
Let us recall that at the start of the tournament, the Ukrainian beat her compatriot Yulia Starodubtseva, after which she won in a strong-willed style over the fourth seed Anna Karolina Schmiedlova from Slovakia.
