On Monday, Chermoshansky, making his last attempt at the PSB Russian Athletics Cup in Cheboksary, landed unsuccessfully and injured his knee. He was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery. Chermoshansky managed to avoid a fracture, doctors reduced the dislocation. After that, the athlete was taken to a Moscow hospital.
