Ukrainian track and field athlete Marina Bekh-Romanchuk got it bronze medal in the triple jump at the stage Diamond League 2024 V Monaco.
Bekh-Romanchuk took third place with a result of 14.81 m. This is the fourth best jump of the Ukrainian’s career, her personal best is 15.02 m.
The gold medal at the competition in Monaco was won by Lejanis Perez Hernandez from Cuba – 14.96 m. The representative of the Dominican Republic Tea Lafond became the silver medalist – 14.87 m.
It should be noted that this was Bekh-Romanchuk’s first start since January 2024. Due to injuries, Marina missed the 2024 World Indoor Championships and the 2024 European Championships, and also did not compete in the previous stages of the Diamond League.
Let us recall that in July 2023, Bekh-Romanchuk achieved the Olympic standard (14.55 m) in the triple jump for the first time in her career and received a license for the 2024 Games. In 2016 and 2021, Marina competed at the Olympics only in the long jump.
