Chelsea reject Al Ittihad’s first bid for Kepa

Spaniard awaits outcome of Lunin’s fate at Real

Chelsea rejected the first offer Al-Ittihad by the goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The Spaniard received a lucrative financial deal, but chose to reject the contract with the Saudi Arabian club. At the same time, Kepa expects that if he leaves Real Ukrainian Andrey Lunin will be able to return to the Blancos camp again.

Chelsea, however, have no intention of keeping the player and continue to work on his potential departure. The Spaniard is bound to the Blues by contract for another year.

Last season he played on loan for Real Madrid. Kepa started last season as the main goalkeeper, but during the season he lost his place in the starting lineup to Ukrainian Andriy Lunin. The Madrid club refused to buy Arrizabalaga.

The Spaniard played 20 matches for Blancos last season (nine clean sheets) in all competitions, conceding a total of 18 goals.

Al-Ittihad finished fifth in the Saudi Arabian Championship last season.
