The Poltava home arena can accommodate almost 25 thousand spectators.
Vorskla appealed to the Poltava City Council with a request to transfer it to the club’s balance sheet Alexey Butovsky stadium.
The Poltava club’s arena was opened in 1951. Its capacity is almost 25 thousand spectators. Now the Butovsky Arena is municipal property.
Vorskla got the right to hold UPL matches with fans last season. The Poltava club also achieved an increase in the spectator quota to 2,800 people by decision of the Poltava Regional Military Administration.
This off-season, Poltava has already managed to extend the contract with the team’s main goalkeeper Pavlo Isenko, extended the loan of defender Viktor Kornienko from Shakhtar, and also signed the best player of the Montenegrin championship of the 2023/24 season, forward Demir Shkriel and former Polesie player Denis Ndukwe.
Vorskla finished 9th in the last UPL draw. Serhiy Dolganskyy’s team will play the opening match of the 2024/2025 season against Shakhtar.
