Navka supported Vedenin’s idea of creating a national figure skating league similar to the NHL

Olympic champion in ice dancing Tatyana Navka responded positively to the proposal of the coach of the USSR national team, former judge Alexander Vedenin, to create a figure skating league.

This spring, the ISU suspended the participation of athletes from Russia and Belarus in international competitions due to events in Ukraine. Vedenin proposes to create its own figure skating league, similar to the NHL, independent of the leaders of the international federations.

– Good idea. We have to figure that out, calculate all the pros and cons, see what it’s going to look like. This needs to be discussed in more detail, – quotes the words of Navka “Championship”.
