The coach noted the different readiness of the players at the training camp
Trainer Zari Yuri Koval spoke about the team’s preparation for the new season.
“There are almost two weeks left until the start of the new season. All the friendly matches were exciting and informative. There are some difficulties with the lineup, different levels of readiness of the players. Some played more, some less. We are trying to use different schemes. The game model depends not only on what the coach wants, but also on the availability of players.”
“I am pleased with the guys’ attitude to the matter. It is nice that Igor Gorbach and Alexander Yatsyk have joined us.”
“Nwaeze will join us soon, most likely in Ukraine. We liked Christopher at the winter training camp. We were expecting him in the spring, but not everything happens as we want. Let’s see him and then we’ll tell you.”
“Will there be more reinforcements? Definitely. There is time. Competition is needed. Players must understand that if you do not give it your all, you will be replaced and you will have to fight for a place in the team again. Competition helps everyone progress.”
Zarya planned 5-6 sparring matches at the training camp in Slovenia. Koval’s team tied with the Hungarian MTK (1:1), lost to the Slovenian Beltinci (2:3) and Bosnian Zrinjski (1:2), after which they tied again with the Slovenian Mura (0:0).
Zorya took tenth place in the UPL. In the first round of the new season, Koval’s team will play Ingulets on August 4.
