Honored figure skating coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova told that she would not personally monitor figure skater Sofia Samodelkina, who made her debut at the Kazakhstan championship.

Originally from Moscow, Samodelkina changed her sports citizenship in 2023. On Tuesday, July 16, the athlete performed a short program at the Kazakhstan Championships. The 17-year-old figure skater received 51.23 points for her skating.

— Samodelkina participated in the Kazakhstan Championship and will probably take part in the Grand Prix stages. Will you personally follow her progress?

“I am very interested in the fate of our girls who will perform. I am interested in how they will recover, what they need to do to win in the situation we are in,” Tarasova told .

On Wednesday, July 17, the athletes will perform a free program. The competitions take place in Karaganda.
