Morata bids farewell to Atletico, confirms move to Milan

The forward must sign a contract with the Rossoneri until 2028

Forward Atletico Alvaro Morata said goodbye to the Madrid club and confirmed that he was moving to Milan.

Morata said he will undergo a medical examination ahead of his contract with the Rossoneri.

It was previously reported that Morata would sign a four-year deal with Milan, with his salary set at five million euros per year, excluding bonus payments.

Alvaro Morata captained Spain to victory at Euro 2024. The striker played in all seven matches of the tournament, scoring one goal.

Morata, 31, played 48 matches for Atletico last season, scoring 21 goals and making five assists. The Colchoneros finished fourth in the championship, behind Real, Barcelona and Girona.

Milan finished second in Serie A. Former Shakhtar coach Paulo Fonseca was appointed as the team’s new head coach.
