Athletistic / Football. International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach has launched an appeal 10 days before the start of the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France.
“With openness, respect, inclusion and true solidarity, everyone will feel welcome at the Olympic Games Paris 2024. More than half of the world’s population will follow the Olympic Games and be inspired by our message.
Now everything is ready: the athletes, the whole of France, the Olympic movement. Let us come together to celebrate and enjoy the spectacular 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. These Games will be dedicated to sport and much more,” Bach said, as quoted by the 2024 Olympic Games Organizing Committee.
The Summer Olympics will be held in the French capital for the third time. This time, Paris will host the Olympians from July 26 to August 11, 2024. Only 15 Russian athletes will participate in the 2024 Olympics and will do so in individual neutral status. This is due to sanctions imposed by the IOC, not for sporting reasons, but for political ones.
