Sane wants to stay at Bayern and sign a new contract

Leroy has one more year on his deal.

Winger Bayern Leroy Sane does not intend to leave the club.

Sane has expressed a desire to extend his deal in the summer of 2025. The midfielder understands that his performances must be consistent and he needs to regain full fitness in order to earn a new contract.

Sane played 27 matches in the Bundesliga last season, scoring 8 goals and providing 11 assists. The winger is currently recovering from groin surgery.

Leroy played with the German national team at the home Euro 2024, where the Bundesteam was eliminated after losing in the quarter-finals to Spain (1:2). Sane played all five matches at the tournament, without scoring.

Bayern finished third in the Bundesliga last season and suffered a dramatic 2-2, 1-2 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals. At the end of the season, head coach Thomas Tuchel left the team and was replaced by Vincent Kompany from Burnley.

The new season for the Munich team will start on August 16, when they play away against Ulm in the German Cup.
