Markevich resigned as head coach of Karpaty – journalist

This time the coach’s departure will happen

Myron Markevich resigned as head coach Carpathians.

The management of the Lviv club accepted this decision of the coach. An official announcement from the Lviv team is expected in the near future.

Journalist Igor Burbas notes that the reason for the departure is the insufficient staffing of the first team at the UPL level and the arrival of a new coaching staff to the Karpaty U-19 team, headed by Vladislav Lupashko, who was repeatedly wooed for Markevich’s position.

This off-season, Karpaty have already announced the transfers of Minaj goalkeeper Aleksandr Kemkin, Bulgarian Cherno More midfielder Pablo Alvarez, and Chernomorets midfielder Orest Kuzyk.

The Lviv club also signed three Dnipro-1 players: defenders Volodymyr Adamyuk and Denis Miroshnichenko, as well as midfielder Maksym Melnichenko. Another completed transfer was the transfer of Cruzeiro winger Stenio.

Karpaty have been promoted to a higher class following the results of last season and will play in the UPL. In the first round of the new Ukrainian championship, the Lions will meet Veres on August 3. The match starts at 15:30.
