Athletistic / Olympic Games. The 2030 Winter Olympics in France are under threat. The host of the 2030 Olympics has not yet been officially named, but only the French city of Albertville is in the running to host the competition.
According to Ski-Nordique, the French National Olympic Committee (NOC) is now concerned about government funding for the 2030 Olympics. It seems that the head of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, Renaud Muselier, is trying daily to get approval from the French presidential administration for the 2030 Winter Games, but the recent resignation of Prime Minister Gabriel Attal and his government has become a big problem for Muselier.
The state financial guarantee was expected to be signed in the coming days. Economists estimate that the estimated budget for the 2030 Olympic Games is 1.975 billion euros. According to French law, only the Prime Minister can legally sign the guarantee required by the IOC.
The decisive vote on the capital of the 2030 Olympic Games will take place at the IOC session on July 24. Note that the 1992 Winter Olympics were held in Albertville.
