Figure skater Arina Parsegova has filed a counterclaim against Plushenko’s Angels Academy in the fundraising case, the next court hearing will take place on July 30, a correspondent reports on the ground.
On Wednesday, July 17, the Nikulinsky District Court of Moscow began considering the claim of the academy of two-time Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko against the representatives of the 12-year-old figure skater. In 2023, Parsegova left the academy and began working with the honored coach of Russia Eteri Tutberidze. In June, the co-owner of the Plushenko’s Angels organization Yana Rudkovskaya told that she would sue the figure skater’s parents for her departure. On the Telegram channel, she clarified that almost 2 million rubles were spent on Parsegova’s training, which the academy intends to recover from the athlete’s representatives, as well as legal costs.
Rudkovskaya and Plushenko did not appear at the hearing; the figure skater’s mother, Natalia Parsegova, is present in the courtroom.
— The claims of the Academy of “Angels of Plyushchenko” are monetary, they arise from a previously concluded agreement. The counterclaim demands termination of the contract. For the sake of procedural economy, we ask that the case be included and accepted into the proceedings, “said the representative of Parsegova’s defense in the courtroom.
