The miners played two halves with completely different lineups. The only goal of the match was scored by Eginaldo in the second half. The Brazilian headed in a cross from Pedrinho after a protracted attack by the miners.
Earlier, Shakhtar managed to play four friendlies in Slovenia. First, they won a crushing victory over Bosnian Sarajevo (4:1), then played a draw with Croatian Hajduk (1:1), lost minimally to Serbian club Backa Topola (0:1) and scored five unanswered goals against Rizespor.
