Ukrainian center continues to get playing practice with the Knicks
Ukrainian center New York Knicks Dmitry Skapintsev played his third match in NBA Summer League – he helped his team win Sacramento (106:105).
Skapintsev spent 17 minutes on the court, scoring 11 points during that time, as well as recording 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.
New York will play its next NBA Summer League game on the night of July 19-20 against Detroit.
Skapintsev signed a two-way contract with the Knicks last December. Last season, the Ukrainian only played twice in the NBA — he played a little over two minutes in two games, without making any impact.
Skapintsev is the ninth Ukrainian in the NBA. The league also includes Alexander Volkov, Vitaliy Potapenko, Stanislav Medvedenko, Alexey Pecherov, Kirill Fesenko, Vyacheslav Kravtsov, Svyatoslav Mykhailiuk and Alexey Len.
