Athletistic / Olympic Games. Russian Tennis Federation (RFF) President Shamil Tarpishchev has announced his intention to include Daniil Medvedev (5th in the ATP ranking) and Mirra Andreeva (31st in the world) in the mixed doubles tournament at the 2024 Olympic Games.
“We want Daniil Medvedev and Mirra Andreeva to play in mixed doubles. Let’s see how it goes on July 24. Then we will have to determine the pair,” Tarpishchev quotes.
Daniil Medvedev competed in his second Olympic Games. At the Tokyo 2021 Games, he reached the quarterfinals of the men’s singles.
Mirra Andreeva, 17, will perform at the Olympic Games for the first time. In 2024, she will reach the semi-finals of Roland Garros. It is on these clay courts that the Olympic tennis tournament will be played.
Earlier it became known that Ekaterina Alexandrova will perform in tandem with Elena Vesnina at the 2024 Olympics.
The Olympic Games in the French capital will be held from July 26 to August 11. The tennis tournament will begin on July 27 and last until August 4.
