The American will have his next fight on August 3 against Jarrell Miller
Former World Heavyweight Champion Andy Ruiz declared his readiness to win the championship belts and also challenged the holder of the WBO/WBA/IBO/WBC belts in the heavyweight division to a fight Alexandra Usikaformer WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and announced his intention to hold a third fight against Anthony Joshua.
“I’m ready to become champion again. God willing, I’ll win on August 3 against Miller. Then I want to fight Usyk, Fury, I want to have a trilogy with Anthony Joshua.”
“There are so many opportunities now – I have to get back up and win my fights. That’s why I’m motivated, I’m hungry and I’m back on my mission. I’m going to be champion again.”
Let’s recall that Ruiz fought Joshua twice in 2019. In the first fight, Andy won an early victory and won three championship belts, but lost on points in the rematch. After the fight, both boxers admitted that a third fight could take place between them.
Last fall, the Mexican-American once again announced his readiness for a trilogy with the Briton.
Ruiz has not entered the ring since September 2022. Then Andy defeated Luis Ortiz by unanimous decision, knocking his opponent down three times.
Andy will have his next fight on August 3 against another American Jarrell Miller. The fight will take place on the undercard of the fight between former absolute champion in two weight categories Terence Crawford and WBA champion in the first middleweight category Israil Madrimov. The event is expected to take place at BMO Stadium, the home arena of FC Los Angeles.
