Lviv residents terminated the contract with the coach by mutual consent
Head coach Karpat Miron Markevich officially left his post. The Lviv team reached an agreement with the coach to terminate the contract by mutual consent.
Markevich had previously announced his departure. The coach said that he continues to lead an active lifestyle, trains and plays football among veterans himself.
Earlier, journalist Igor Burbas noted that the reason for the departure was the insufficient staffing of the first team at the UPL level and the arrival of a new coaching staff to the Karpaty U-19 team, headed by Vladislav Lupashko, who was repeatedly wooed for Markevich’s position.
This off-season, Karpaty have already announced the transfers of Minaj goalkeeper Alexander Kemkin, Bulgarian Cherno More midfielder Pablo Alvarez, and Chernomorets midfielder Orest Kuzyk. The Lviv club also signed three Dnipro-1 players: defenders Vladimir Adamyuk and Denis Miroshnichenko, as well as midfielder Maksym Melnichenko. Another completed transfer is the transfer of Cruzeiro winger Stenio.
Karpaty have been promoted to a higher class following the results of last season and will play in the UPL. In the first round of the new Ukrainian championship, the Lions will meet Veres on August 3. The match starts at 15:30.
