The Ukrainian became the NBA champion for the first time in his career last season.

President of Basketball Operations Boston Brad Stevens commented on the formation of the team’s roster for next season.

“We have to be careful about filling that last spot on the roster and understanding what our needs might be.”

“Brissett had an incredible season with us, not just when he was able to play on the court, but as a teammate and as a person. It’s understandable that he might want to play more. I always want to respect that.”

“I think Brissett and Mykhailiuk are good players that, whether they’re here or anywhere else, would fit in well with any team. They’re just amazing people.”

It was previously reported that Boston does not plan to extend the contract with Svyatoslav. The Ukrainian will leave the Celtics as a free agent.

Several Euroleague clubs were interested in Mykhailiuk. Real Madrid and Panathinaikos were preparing to begin negotiations, and Olympiakos was also keeping an eye on the player.
