Vitaly Stepanovsky’s team won their fourth victory in a row
Ukrainian National Basketball Team defeated the team Malaysia at the exhibition tournament William Jones Cup — 74:65.
Already at the end of the first quarter, Vitaly Stepanovsky’s team secured an advantage of eight points, and the blue-yellows went into the big break with a lead of 14 points.
The final two quarters were played with a slight advantage for Malaysia, but they were unable to prevent Ukraine from winning their fourth victory in a row in the tournament.
The most productive players in the Ukrainian team were Stepan Lesik and Alexander Antipov, who scored 14 points each (Antipov also recorded 13 rebounds, making a double-double).
Earlier, the Ukrainian team lost to the Blue Team of Taiwan (58:83) and the Philippine team Strong Group Athletics (74:82). Then came victories over the BSBL Guardians (98:57), the Japanese U-22 team (63:47), and the Taiwan B team (77:50).
The William Jones Cup exhibition tournament is taking place in Taiwan. In the next match on July 20, the Ukrainians will meet the UAE team.
