“If a plane bothers someone, then he should close the window” – Korotyshkin on the placement of swimmers in Yekaterinburg

Head of the Moscow Swimming Federation Yevgeny Korotyshkin told that the sports management is doing everything possible to find the best conditions between all national teams in terms of welcoming athletes during competitions.

The final of the Russian Swimming Cup starts on July 23 in Yekaterinburg. Earlier, multiple world champion Yulia Efimova complained about the accommodation conditions in Yekaterinburg, European champion Andrei Zhilkin said that he lives next to the airport and the noise of planes bothers him, and world record holder Kliment Kolesnikov posted a video with the sound of a plane taking off outside his window.

“There are standards set by the ministry, and we can’t put them in a five-star hotel. We try our best to find the best conditions among all the national teams. On the contrary, they always treat the Moscow team with a little envy, because we always stay in the best hotels and book everything in advance. If someone is disturbed by a plane, they should close the window. The pool is located near the airport, so you shouldn’t expect to live in complete silence, alone with nature. The conditions dictate the rules of the game. Guys, it’s nothing personal, let’s get together and play.

We have always acted this way: if the conditions are not satisfactory, no one bothers us to go to the city and rent an apartment, a bunker, live there and go to the swimming pool. Anything beyond the established financing is at your expense, please, we have never forbidden it.

In any case, on the 26th I will be in Yekaterinburg and see what the conditions are there,” Korotyshkin told .
