Efimova: “The Bahamas trip really knocked me out, it was hard to prepare myself after”

Three-time Olympic medalist and six-time world swimming champion Yulia Efimova told that it was difficult for him to pull himself together and recover after his trip to the Bahamas.

In June, Efimova failed to meet the standards for participation in the Olympic Games in the last qualifying start – the Bahamas Championship.

Efimova is competing in the final of the Russian Swimming Cup in Yekaterinburg. On Tuesday, the athlete reached the final of the 50-meter breaststroke with the first time.

– Thank God the water here is up to standard. Plus we had time to rest and recover a bit. Beautiful pool. New, beautiful, big. I hope my results will be at least a little close to excellent.

So far, everything is going well, but it’s a “fifty bucks”, it always works well for me. Especially on the first day. So far, so good. I hope to blur better in the future. After the Bahamas, I had three weeks to recover and rest, but I did nothing because I didn’t have time to do anything. This trip knocked me out so much that it was difficult to prepare myself later,” Efimova said on .
